When we first launched @leaninorg Circles, we wanted to create a place where women — in every industry and at any stage of their careers — could find connection and be encouraged to go after their dreams. We had what we thought was an audacious goal of reaching 1,000 Circles. Circles took off in ways I never could have imagined. Now more than 75,000 women have created Lean In Circles in 181 countries. They are in small towns and big cities, on college campuses and military bases, and in companies and in countries from India to Ireland. Now I have started a new Lean In Circle with 11 phenomenal women who are running companies, leading in their fields, breaking barriers, giving back, and inspiring so many others along the way. I deeply admire each of them. In just our first few meetings, we have already talked about work, family, kids, meditation, forgiveness, self-acceptance and finding strength from each other and ourselves. @ariannahuff, @biancagates, @wnbacommish, Deb Gruenfeld, @debliu_ , @dcmorrishr, @fidjissimo , @jadapinkettsmith, @Jewel, @sbrown0496, and @diverstar, I know I’m going to learn so much from each of you.
