I’m often private about certain sacred pieces of my life and I share them as, and if, I am ready. My daddy, Beamon Nettles, died last month on May 14th. He was a precious, quiet soul who made his way gently in the world. And it is so strange and unreal that he is not here.
This song was his favorite song. I have a vivid memory of him playing it on 45, singing along as I fell asleep at my grandmother’s (“Boo-ma”) house. “The Way I Am” by Merle Haggard.
I sang it at his funeral.
Happy Father’s Day Daddy. You are loved and missed.
Hold your Loves close. I hope everyone had a beautiful day. And thank you to all the fathers out there. ❤️
Another trip around the sun…….
A year full of life, death, growth, expansion, laughter, tears, music, art, writing, acting, dancing, singing, cooking, traveling, friends, family, and, most of all, Love. And that big, life-y wave has crested and brought me to another rebirth.
Surrounded by My Love today, and the love of so many friends in messages. All of this made me smile. Thank you thank you thank you. I am grateful beyond words and feel blessed beyond measure. ❤️
Hello Fam! Been missing me? I have been missing you and wanted to tell you where I’ve been! I have been absolutely, beside myself, giddy to share this with you and I finally can. I am proud beyond words to get to be a part of this amazing project, cast, crew, production and legacy. Last night was a fever dream. I played @carnegiehall with so many heroes (to include @brucehornsby pictured here) as we all celebrated the music of @paulmccartney. We celebrated and shared communion in that amazing space. And they offered us yellow roses as we departed.
Meeting this absolute inspiration of a human was the icing on the most delicious cake. @brucehornsby thank you for being such an inspiration and such a delight. They say “never meet your heroes” but you were so kind and lovely to me as I fan-girled repeatedly!!! I am forever grateful and forever a fan. 💛

I haven’t been out of my cave in a while. Working on some fun new things to bring your way in tv and film. BUT!!!! I’m jumping on a little stage soon for a cause close to my heart: my son’s school!
