Julie Ann Emery Instagram – I hear tell it is the Great and Good @itscarolburnett 90th Birthday today. We met doing video Commentary for @bettercallsaulamc S6. Vince Gilligan leans in and says “Carol Burnett is here. You wanna meet her? She’s a Kettleman fan” I replied “There is no way she knows who The Kettlemans are but obviously YES I WANT TO MEET HER!” What followed was Carol being insanely kind while I freaked out in the most UN-cool way possible. And then we talked about the comedy of Betsy Kettleman. How Betsy is “so funny! Just hilarious” and she demonstrated some Betsy Kettleman wearing the pants moments. It is one of the greatest thrills of my life. And in moments when I am in doubt about myself, which is inevitable as an artist, I think “Well, Carol Burnett thought I was funny once. So if nothing else happens…in my entire future career…I have done that, and that is something” 💜 Also….I was wearing Shorts Overalls when we met (like I did all through college) and I might never recover from that.
