She spent five months in the hospital, has gone on and off hospice multiple times, and has pulled through at every turn. She is by far the strongest person I’ve ever known. If you also have a parent with dementia, know that you’re not alone. It can feel isolating to care for a loved one going through this disease, but as I’ve started to open up more about it, I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of people who are going through something similar.
