Natalie Holt Instagram – My Dad turned 80 today, and we had such a nice day. He showed some glimmers of himself and recognised some old friends who came and visited him. He has a rare form of Parkinson’s called PSP and has been in a nursing home for the last 6 months. So I guess just sending thoughts to people dealing with loss and ill relatives. Parkinson’s and dementia give us a long strange goodbye to a loved one and it’s tough as any incurable illness is, but there are good times, bad times – and INCREDIBLE dedicated people who work looking after him in the nursing home, people who make you slightly embarrassed to have such a flaky job, people who are inspirational with their kindness, hard work and dedication. So as my Dad said to me today ‘life goes past so quickly’… and he reminds me to try and make the most of the time we have and to be kind. | Posted on 07/Mar/2023 00:49:08
