Neelima Rani Instagram – #ZEROFOODWASTEIPL 💛 An initiative to recover excess untouched food from Chepauk Stadium and share it with needy and hungry people   Via this initiative, NFW Chennai have planned to save food from Chepauk Stadium before it gets wasted. We targeted to save 9,000 count of consumable food by volunteering inside the stadium after the completion of the match from the food stall in the stand. Apart from food recovery, NFW CHENNAI have planned to raise awareness about zero food waste among the audience by interacting with them to encourage them to consume the food without wasting it and by also printing attractive quotes on awareness placards.    Regarding infrastructure, NFW CHENNAI are operating the entire initiative with two food recovery vans (Maruthi Omni) and a dozen two-wheelers, all of which have the capacity to carry 1200 to 1500 count, also we (NFW CHENNAI) have backup to recover if there is more quantity and with 25 volunteers who support both offline and online.
