Suhani Dhanki Instagram – Atop the peaceful and serene Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple, located at the peak of the Kumaon Hills in Uttarakhand, where it is believed that the 5500 year old Shiva linga was built and worshipped by the Pandavas during their exile. Mukteshwar is also so called because it is believed that Shiva slayed a demon here but also gave him liberation. The trek to the temple is a journey full of history, and one immerses into the spirituality and shraddha of thousands of devotees while soaking in a breathtaking view. I can still feel the calmness from there. We did a road trip across Uttarakhand – there is so much diversity in the terrain and each district has so much beauty to offer.
