David Thewlis Instagram – If you’re in London, around London, under, or maybe floating a few feet above London any time soon go and see Accidental Death Of An Anarchist at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. It’s one of the best pieces of theatre I’ve ever experienced. A fantastically funny play about profoundly serious issues. A radical rewriting and staging of Dario Fo’s superb satire. I will never forget those two wonderful hours. Enormous admiration and respect for @danielrigbyrigby ‘s explosive and unrelenting performance as The Maniac, @raggett.daniel ‘s flawless direction and @tom.basden who has brought Fo’s work so up to date it feels as if it’s still being written minutes before the lights go up. The whole cast are excellent. Thank you folks. Btw, to be clear, I’m not in it and have nothing to do with it. That’s it. Now go. David Thewlis Instagram – Went to see Groundhog Day at the @oldvictheatre with dear old friends @cworwood and @ianjohnsonifico who have now watched it five times. They either really love it or have completely misunderstood the concept and intend to see it every day. What a truly amazing show! Congratulations to genius director, Matthew Warchus, the creatively hirsute genius @timminchin, Danny Rubin and my profound respect to the beautiful and brilliant cast. Bonus trivia: I used to have a lot of complaints from my London neighbours about my dismal piano playing, but while I’ve been away Tim Minchin has been staying there for the past month and I love the idea that they must think I’ve got a lot fucking better overnight.
