Jen Sutphin Instagram – One night early in to our relationship James and I watched George of the Jungle. It was a childhood favorite of both of ours and plus we bonded over an obsession with Brendan Fraser. In the movie there is a scene where George and Ursula dance around a campfire to this song- and it was a special moment in the movie because Ursula finally got to unmask and be herself around George. It’s a silly moment in hindsight but it meant a lot to us. In that moment we decided that “Dela” would be our first dance song one day. Fast forward several years and we decided to elope without a plan to dance. That all changed when our photographer, @oliviamarieplath encouraged us to dance anyway and pick a song…& well we had no other choice. Ironically it wasn’t until that moment that I actually understood the lyrics. And I broke down in tears in the best way possible as James sang them to me. &now I know why the dog howls at the moon 🌙 I love you James 💜
