Thus one great dilemma of business…. The most aggressive amongst us can make for the best entrepreneurs and the worst teammates. If managing these three, I would bring in Tommy 🐱 for the high standard of care tasks – maybe engineering, sourcing, operational tasks. Tommy is curious, careful and brave… a cat in a dog pack willing to go first. I’d bring in Ruby as head of sales, but with zero access to the money. Zero. If Ruby can be properly incentivized, she will drive this team transactionally. She will also have a very monitored expense account. Oswald is head of brand development and finance. He has demonstrated great restraint being 8x larger than the other animals. So, I trust the brand positioning, P&L management and hopefully he has the financial acumen. I might also throw HR under Oswald until we expand. (In all seriousness – Ruby is our stray. She was once a hungry puppy… and it’s almost impossible to shake some things that come our way early in life. You work with what you have and make the best team out of it. ❤️❤️)
