Mark Wright Instagram – HEALTHY HIGH PROTEIN CHICKEN BURGER. ๐๐ฅฌ Canโt tell you how good this one is! Like a takeaway but not greasy at all and you feel great afterwards.
Ingredients (makes 4 big burgers)๐๐ผ
For the burgers:
– Chicken mince 500g
– 1 Onion finely chopped
– 1 tsp Garlic Powder
– Salt & Pepper
– 1 Egg
– Couple of teaspoons of flour
For the crispy coating:
– 1 Egg white
– 60g Cornflakes
– 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
– 1/2 tsp Onion Granules
– 1/2 Celery Salt
– 1 tsp Paprika
– Pepper to taste
The rest:
– Light mayo
– 1 tsp Lemon juice
– Grated lemon zest
– Brown seeded buns
– Shredded lettuce
Method:
1. Add your burger ingredients into a large bowl (apart from the flour) then use your hands to mix thoroughly. Coat your hands in some flour then shape into burger patty shapes. It can get quite sticky so use the flour to help with this – a good technique is to sort of throw the meat from one hand to the other till the shape forms.
2. Crush the cornflakes into a medium crumb then add your herbs and seasoning and spread onto a plate. In a shallow bowl have your egg white then dip each burger into the egg then crumb mixture.
3. Air Fry for 15 minutes (check they are totally cooked through).
4. While your burgers are cooking add lemon juice, zest and black pepper to some light mayo.
