Phil McGraw Instagram – In breaking news, Oklahoma’s attorney general is reportedly taking steps to stop the scheduled May 18th execution of inmate Richard Glossip.  I recently interviewed Glossip (now age 60) on death row where he has already spent almost 25 years after being convicted for the 1997 murder-for-hire killing of his boss, motel owner Barry Van Treese, and was served his last meal three times. In a recent filing with the Oklahoma court of criminal appeals, Attorney General Gentner Drummond says a key witness against Glossip lied to the jury about his psychiatric treatment and reasons for taking the mood-stabilizing drug lithium.  I spoke with KWTV in Oklahoma and gave my thoughts on the recent developments in this case including witness Justin Sneed’s testimony where he admitted to killing Barry Van Treese with a baseball bat, but claimed Glossip hired him to commit the act. I applaud AG Drummond for intervening in the case.
