As @lookinghbo’s Richie Ventura, @raulcastillo played a gay man whose father couldn’t accept his sexuality. In Jeremiah Zagar’s searing coming-of-age drama @wetheanimalsfilm – out in the UK on June 14 – the 41-year-old actor finds himself cast as the latter side of that dynamic. “As a boy I remember being picked on for being a sensitive kid – then picking on other kids for similar traits”, he says. “It’s interesting that the I’m now getting allows me to navigate both sides of that”.
