Trevor Duke-Moretz Instagram – If you don’t recognize this face- then pause and read. This man changed the course of art. From West Side Story to Into the Woods, Company, Merrily We Roll Along, Sweeney Todd, and Sunday in the Park with George- along countless others- he showed us a way to lyrics and story we had never seen. To make it personal- I moved to NYC at 15 to attend The Professional Performing Arts School. As a musical theater major- whoop whoop to the triple threats (lol none of us could dance)- coming from a small town in NW Georgia my experience was traveling musicals and a few Broadway weekends thanks to my mother who also loves musicals. Once in NYC I was immersed in the history of the art. Stephen Sondheim immediately Grabbed my attention- A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum- from there I was hooked. Into The Woods was currently on Broadway at the time- hello @laurabenanti- I saw it 13 times that season. A long story long- I was mused and crafted by this giant- and giant who is now… in the sky.
