Barbara Niven Instagram – Happy Mother’s Day! No matter how old our children get, they still are our babies, aren’t they? I remember the first time I ever saw Jessica‘s face. She took my breath away… it was the most astonishing moment of my life. I prayed that I would be worthy, and that I could give her everything in the world, especially wings. She has grown into the most incredible woman I know, someone who has always been looking for ways to change the world. Ever since she was a young child, she has been a warrior for the planet, for animals, and for people. She is now renowned in her field, doing exactly that. I could not be more proud. 
I have been so blessed to be her mother through all the stages of our lives together. And now I get to watch her be a mother herself. The circle of life continues. Thank you, Jess, for making me a Mimi.
I know that all of you mothers have your own stories as you have watched your families grow. I hope on this day you get to make more memories with those you love. Please also remember the mothers and mother figures around you and celebrate them as well, because being alone on a holiday like this can be devastating. A phone call or a kindness or even a smile can make all the difference.
