This book was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I was so intrigued by the synopsis that I HAD to read it! Brianne tells her own life experiences through her character “Roxie,” a Hollywood actress who discovers she is a sex and love addict. You are taken on this journey as she discovers her self-worth and as she tries to heal and accept that she may not be a perfect person, but it’s never too late to change.
What I really loved was how brutally honest Brianne was throughout the book. It felt like listening to the story of a friend because of how real and vulnerable she was. She held nothing back as she talked about her struggles with this addiction, the highs and lows of her recovery, and how important it is to love yourself. She talks about some of the unheard and ugly side of being in the entertainment business and it gave me a bigger level of respect for her after what she’s been through and how she finally began to stand up for herself and not deal with anyone’s bs.
Highly recommend this book to anyone who feels like it’s too late to make any big changes in your life! I feel like this book can definitely teach you so much about setting your own boundaries in your life, both personal and professional.
