Dominique Domingo Instagram – There is this one tree in my new neighborhood that I have been in awe of all of November. Every morning on my daily walk, I couldn’t help but feel amazed by her vibrant colors, the way she breathed with the wind and how mighty she felt. And then one day in December I noticed her again. All of the vibrant colorful leaves that she was, scattered on the ground. She was different. There was nothing there yet I was still in awe. No color, no movement but she was still mighty. The quote “we cannot always be in bloom” came to mind in that moment. That is not actually how nature works and we are in fact a part of nature. And honestly what a relief to be reminded of that. We cannot only inhale and expand. There comes a point where we will have to exhale and contract, and repeat. And when we are not in full bloom, it does not make us any less magnificent. There is a season for everything. And all phases of the cycle of life, death and rebirth are meant to be honored. One phase is not better or more important than the other. All of it is part of it.
