Lauren Tom Instagram – I was so honored to be acknowledged at #GoldGala with my sistahs from #TheJoyLuckClub on the 30th anniversary of the film’s release. Many thanks to @goldhouseco and @bingchen for valuing and remembering the prior generation that helped pave the way for more AAPI stories to be told. I’ve never experienced a standing ovation before, and was overwhelmed with emotion. So wonderful to reunite with my family, and to meet new friends whom I’m already so proud to know because of their hearts, talent, and accomplishments. The other highlight of the evening for me was taking portraits with my JLC friends that I know we will cherish. I can’t wait to see them. Many thanks also to my husband, @curtk7212 for helping me throughout the evening, my amazing friend, @noabolozky who did my hair and make-up, and my two pilates teachers that help me keep my spirits and my ass lifted to the best of my ability! @nic_dane and @maureen_hennigan
