Leah Lewis Instagram – Elemental came out in theaters today. 🥲❤️ This is a film about the deep love we share with our family, the love we can cultivate for all the parts of our selves, both large and small, and how important and enriching it is learn about and love people who are different than us. They say you don’t choose your family, but my parents adopted me 26 years ago and they did choose who they were going to raise, but not who I’d become. We couldn’t be more similar and equally different at the same time. We come from the same core though and it’s one that is loyal, unconditional and incredibly strong. They also say you can choose your family. I’ve been able to choose and be chosen by so many beautiful people that come from opposite ends of the spectrum (a lot also aren’t in these photos) and yet we still meet each other in the middle. Whether it’s my parents, sister, my friends, I’ve experienced love through them in so many capacities. By being truly ourselves, we hold mirrors up to each other that show we differ from each other and are the same at heart. I’m so grateful for the exchange. 😭 I hope this film makes you feel, fills you with gratitude and reminds you of the different loves of your life.
