Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God exalted him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, the authority of the name of Jesus causes every knee to bow in reverence! Everything and everyone will one day submit to this name—in the heavenly realm, in the earthly realm, and in the demonic realm. And every tongue will proclaim in every language: “Jesus Christ is Lord bringing glory and honor to God, his Father!” Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬/TPT In a world where greatness is often perceived so differently this display Christ’s nature of love and humility is encouraging. That All God considers for any of us to be great in His eyes is to simply have the heart of a servant. He was all powerful God and, yet He restrained all His power and allowed evil people exert authority over Him and torture Him to death, all because of His love for us, to pay a debt we owed for our karmas. And while he was being nailed to the cross He was praying for their souls saying “Father forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing”. Luke 23:34. I read something yesterday that sums up a life of knowing Jesus. “To love him, is to achieve something great. To be there with Him when the world mocks Him is a Holy privilege. To endure what life throws at us with Him is a sacred invitation.” #thereispowerinthenameofjesus 🌈
