Margaret Odette Instagram – Long overdue appreciation post to the incredible team behind @stepupseries. I portrayed a passionate, visionary, grassroots Georgia politician, S̴t̴a̴c̴e̴y̴ ̴A̴b̴r̴a̴m̴s̴ Iman Walker. This 1st pic is just moments before I filmed my first scene at “The Grammys”. I was handed a new monologue— handwritten on the back of a callsheet— about 5 minutes before we started rolling. You can’t tell from my expression, but I was nervous AF! I was eager to make a strong first impression, and being surrounded by these phenomenal professional dancers and musicians who could act their asses off was intimidating.
It all came together beautifully, so much so that, when on location, passersby thought I was really running for office, and asked for my campaign lit🙃
