Nitibha Kaul Instagram – #StoryTimeWithNK I moved out of my parents house in the middle of Covid in 2020- a bold but extremely rewarding decision. The growth i’ve had since then- has been immense, both personally & professionally. Fun fact: I HATE living alone & if I could, I’d live with my parents forever. But, it was too comfortable & I always knew great things happen only when you get uncomfortable & so I did. Cut to October 2022 – I realised I needed more space, not just for my stuff, but also for my creative expression. So I moved out of my beloved first home & rented out a 3 bhk. I was so attached to my first home that I never really felt settled in the second & then came the big decision to move out again (in a span of 3 months) only this time to my OWN apartment, a place I could genuinely call HOME & so I did. January 2023 we did a grah pravesh to #NKaulsHome & then began THE toughest 5 month journey of turning this blank canvas (raw flat) into a real home- a visual representation of NK. Being an overthinker & control freak-it wasn’t easy. Every decision seemed so big yet so small. From the floor, to the paint, to the tiles to the taps, every corner of this house was a decision I had to take. Some say its a privilege to be able to do up your own house, but to me, somewhere as the whole process kept getting longer & more tedious, it became more of a task that had to be completed. Not to forget, in the middle of this huge project & living out of suitcases, I was also dealing with relationship problems, the WORST acne outbreak of my life, touching 1 mill on IG & then losing it- all while creating content, travelling & launching a jewellery brand collab. It took a toll on me & mental health wise I hit rock bottom. But today , if you ask me was it all worth it? Oh boy IT WAS. It has made me the strongest version of myself & I couldn’t be more proud. So 3 months of planning, 2 months of renovation, multiple breakdowns, tears of anxiety & joy later- I finally have a space that I can call an extension of me & I am finally beginning the process of moving into it! I am so excited to share this journey with you all, need your love & support as I begin this new chapter 🏡 Delhi, India
