Home Actress Rukmini Vijayakumar HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers June 2023 Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram - I love the slowness in this portion of the Varnam. It gives me space for the internal thoughts of the character. When I watch a video after a performance…. There are some times that I see it and go…. “Oh! I didn’t realise that I was that fast, or I didn’t know it looked so clean” but these times are very few. Most of the times I look at the video and I go “arm didn’t stretch fully. Why did my shoulder go up there? I should have gone lower. Why didn’t my leg finish? My heel is not fully up.” Etc Both are good… and both contribute to my progress… I just think that it’s always important to stay humble with the art. No matter how much one knows…. No one knows it all. #learning #gettingbettereveryday #bharatanatyam #charukeshi #varnam #carnatic #indiandance

Rukmini Vijayakumar Instagram – Heat makes you lose stamina like almost nothing else does. It was hot during this outdoor performance and my costume was drenched by the time the Tillana began.

I always believe that we prepare for the worst conditions, not for the best. It’s easier to dance in an air conditioned studio with sprung wooden floors, wearing a light fabric salwar. It’s a whole other thing to dance outdoors in 35 degrees, on a carpeted stage, in silks.

We can always make excuses for when things go wrong… but I tell my students that there will always be something wrong. Practise prepares us to dance despite many things not being conducive to have a perfect performance. We just have to dance… and be in the moment and enjoy it, trusting that our practice will carry us through.
