Sharon Van Etten Instagram – “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” was written in 1938 by Bennie Benjamin, Eddie Durham, Sol Marcus and Eddie Seiler according to Wikipedia. I only knew the version recorded by The Ink Spots. When I was asked to think of a song from the era in which ‘A Small Light’ takes place, I slowly came around to this one. The show on @natgeo tells the true story of Miep Gies, who played a critical role in hiding Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis.
