Sharon Van Etten Instagram – The idea of past lives, who I used to be, what I could have been, people I lost touch with, parts of myself I lost along the way… is a beautiful, intangible, relatable concept that Celine Song so gracefully explores in her story, Past Lives. With deep longing and compassion, Celine revisits past, present, future selves… lives. When asked to contribute a song to the end title of this extraordinary, evocative @a24 production, I reached out to my friend and collaborator @zachary_dawes. We have a natural bond making cinematic, timeless songs together. “Quiet Eyes”, which we named the track, was our attempt at embodying the innocence of youth, mourning of loss, and acceptance of the present.
