Thank you for trusting me and filling my heart.
I wrote this for you a while ago when we first met.
But then her legs drop and she falls to the floor, right into your lap, her front legs tangled into yours. In that moment you know how much she trusts you and your heart melts. Horses never drop right into your lap. But she does. And you know she has chosen you. She has given you her love and just when you feel like you couldn’t be anymore fulfilled, she pushes her head into your heart. Right into your sternum and you let her – trusting she won’t bite. Then you feel the weight of her head bear down on you. And it’s perfectly heavy. Her muscles relax. She gives you all of her and you accept knowing your heart is healed.
