Toni Basil Instagram – Mother her two older sisters, brother and adopted brother had a very famous vaudevillian act called Billy Wells and the Four Fays
They started performing in America after immigrating from Australia in 1927 and the act survived into the early 60s where they performed twice on Ed Sullivan (go to my YouTube channel “Toni basil‘s house” for the video) they also performed throughout the 50s where my father was the orchestra leader at the Chicago theater, so I got to see my whole family on stage as I stood in the wings. There’s no business like show business!!! One of their early performances was on the same bill with Bojangles, and one of their last performances in 1964 sharing the bill with the Beatles on their first American TV performance on Ed Sullivan ..
