Andrew Francis Instagram – Treat and I used to go to the driving range. Treat’s eyes weren’t all that great, he had a good swing, but his drives tended to wander. After being completely honest about the ball’s direction for a while, while witnessing an ever growing frustration building inside of him with every shot, it was then that I realized.. if the shot wasn’t all thattt bad, saying something more along the lines of, “It’s a little left man, but pretty good Treat, not too bad” was still true.. ish, and most certainly was to everyone’s benefit. That is.. until… Treat shows up to set one day. He’s huffin and puffin a bit – he’d played a round of 18 with someone the evening prior, and just Could Not! figure out how his swing from the driving range had computed into spending most of his time in the bushes, trees and sometimes adjacent fairways. My first instinct was to tell him, – and btw if he was wayyyy off, I told him! it was only when the shots he thought felt perfect, and were only a little off. So, he’s standing there, I’m thinking all of this, and then it clicked. I went to the driving range with Treat and then dinner after, probably 10 times as many rounds he played – and in hindsight, there’s no way I’d trade one of those warm Treat smiles. ❤️☀️ Oh and Treat also loved Eagles.
