It’s been a while since I’ve been consistent with the art and the writing. Too listless and too uninspired. Too much life and work getting in the way of solid focus.
Just too many doldrums. I haven’t been posting because there’s not been much work done, worth the posting. I’m not much of a general lifestyle blogger.
But finishing this massive portrait of Snoh Aalegra, one of my favorite voices/artists, has done a lot to lift the spirits and the energy.
Although looking at the photograph of the sketch now while posting, I see a bunch of things that need fixing. And though it doesn’t really do justice to the subject, nor the original photograph (whose taker I could not find), it still feels like magic. I’m very proud of this one.
