He taught me how to stand up for what’s right. Particularly when it’s not the “right” time. (Meaning, when it’s convenient) He taught me to fight for those that can’t fight for themselves. He taught me how to use my platform for the sake of my people. All this is the legacy of his greatness. And it has nothing to do with football. And that’s how I pray that I’m remembered. For being a man and a model that others should mirror.
