The first time I remember being so inspired that it shaped me as a human was witnessing @brookecandy ‘s Opulence era unfold in real time.
I was just getting into drag at the time and to this day those looks and that song have had such a grip on me and my aesthetic!
Over the years I’ve recreated various looks from Brooke’s Opulence era, always wishing I had the resources to do them better.
I sat down this week and revisited the OG inspo, the @papermagazine cover and was able to bring my interpretation to life in a way I can finally say I am so proud of!
If you swipe to the end you’ll see the first time I ever tried to take on that look… I was 20 years old, had some dollar store rhinestones and a DREAM.
