The love and light that Leslie shared will never go out and we invite you to share your memories and comfort each other during this time.
We will never say goodbye. We will keep you alive in our memories and with your stories. Funeral and Memorial, 11/20/22 — Chattanooga, Tennessee.
“He was a southern gentleman but he could flip from reserved to raunchy almost seemlessly.” @missmayim
Happy Pride Y’all. Leslie would tell you to proud of who you are all year long. Have fun, be safe.
Repost.
Leslie with mama and daddy. It really doesn’t get any cuter than this. Leslie, we miss you every day.
From the American Horror Story (@ahsfx) days, Leslie with one of his favorite actors of all time, @mssarahcatharinepaulson.
“Well, Well, Well……Karen Walker…… I thought I smelled gin and regret.” @meganomullally
Leslie used this quote several times in interviews. He would often laugh when he said it because he was obviously joking, but …… I think he believed it was a tiny bit true. This photo and quote were part of the @lapride float that honored Leslie.
16 seconds of pure joy — Leslie said sharing the stage with @jennifercoolidge was one of the highlights of his acting career. The “Gays” just love Jennifer and Leslie was her biggest fan.
Leslie was so proud of his Emmy and would say that he owes it all to @meganomullally (Karen Walker on Will and Grace). Megan had the best comedic timing Leslie had ever seen and he said it was like verbal ping-pong whenever they were on set together. Megan was also the first to “repost” one of his video and start his Instagram fame.
Leslie loved photo shoots but he insisted on telling stories at every chance ….. “Good food, good meat, good God let’s eat” @thealabamahousewife

Little story about @billystrings. Leslie loved Billy and his music. When Leslie was playing @theryman for the first time he invited Billy as his guest. Unfortunately, Billy could not make it because of his busy tour schedule but he sent the most beautiful flowers (second photo) with the perfect “Good Luck” card attached. As Leslie would say, “we are judged by the company we keep and I have the greatest friends in the world.”

Leslie reading about his favorite subject —— himself. He loved to make fun of himself and I think that’s what made him so relatable. He sat down and wrote this book in 6 weeks during the pandemic. Leslie was not known as a writer but this quick writing assignment was very impressive….and funny.
Leslie loved a photo shoot. You’re welcome to caption the photo because I’m not sure words can describe it.
Love these impromptu moments of Leslie where everyone gets to see his personality and energy shining through. Here he is with his dear friend @katiepruittmusic when she stopped by to see him during one of his album signings.
Leslie absolutely adored working with #martinmull on The Cool Kids. Martin Mull once saw Leslie’s one man comedy show and said it “was a masterclass in comedy.” Leslie thought Martin was a comedy genius and and held his compliment in the highest regard.
Leslie and @jamesbrolin_. Two great actors, one famous heartthrob.
Listen to @jakewesleyrogers move the whole room physically and emotionally with his performance of Jacob from the Bible. The second Leslie learned about Jake he was hooked. He knew he’d be a huge star…. and very soon. Watch this performance and you’ll see why. Keep soaring Jake.
Make sure you listen to Grammy winning artist, @ashleymcbryde, sing her song Girl Going Nowhere for Leslie during the Reportin’ for Duty tribute concert. Leslie adored Ashley and this song. Thank you Ashley !!
Y’all have to hear this tribute by @fancyhagood and John Osborne of @brothersosborne. Not too many could sing a @vincegillofficial song and do it justice but here’s one who could. Leslie loved Vince and loved this song so watch and listen to Fancy deliver an amazing moment for his dear friend.
Watch @lukasnelsonofficial and @laineywilsonmusic’s beautiful rendition of “You Can’t Make Old Friends” during the tribute concert for Leslie. To see more performances, head to the link in the bio and subscribe (free) to the Reportin’ for Duty YouTube channel.
