Lil Dicky Instagram – I’m just gonna come on here and shoot it straight. We don’t make this show for awards, we make it because we love to tell stories, make you guys laugh, and emotionally connect whenever and wherever we can. But I’ve been informed that it’s award voting season, and normally there would be some For Your Consideration event where we’d sit on a panel and talk about who knows what. And to be honest, normally this show would get overlooked in every relevant category, and I would mind my own business and pretend not to feel confused as to how a show this over the top special could be unacknowledged on the biggest stage/night in TV.

But this year, even if it falls on deaf ears, I will go out screaming to the world one very important thing. This man Gata deserves every single ounce of consideration that this industry has to offer for best supporting actor in a comedy. Nobody in the universe can do what he does. He bares his soul every single time. He takes what’s on the page and makes it SO MUCH BETTER by making it his own. He gives us raw glimpses into his own trauma. I’ve seen it first hand how much it impacts people who watch this show.

Whether he’s making you burst out laughing, or making you burst into tears crying, he’s always making you feel something. So as a result, I feel no shame pushing this so passionately, because I know there are no parallels for what this man does for this show, I don’t care who else is in the running. I do not give a fuck!

He is the heart and soul of this very special thing we make. And I know what he’s been through to get here. And I want to see him celebrated as one of the best in the world at what he does because that’s what he is, objectively. I have literal recurring dreams of him up on that stage. And I know it’s usually best to keep these validation based thoughts to myself, but I just couldn’t keep my mouth shut this time around. I’m a seeker of justice, what can I say. Anyways, hopefully someone considers what I’m saying. No matter what, we’ll keep going this hard forever and ever. But you’ve got my vote @gedgata and I love you and am so proud of everything you’ve put into this art that we’ll forever look back on.

Words can’t describe my pride for both this episode and this season. I don’t want to give anything away, but Rachel McAdams and Brad Pitt went crazy and are forever GOATED
