For generations in New York City the words ‘Ron Delsener Presents’ preceded the name of every major music act playing New York, seen across advertisements and heard on the radio. This documentary is about the man behind the name, some of the history of live music in NYC, and the story of one of the original impresarios…who can’t stop hustling. It features some interviews with the names on the poster and stories about everything from David Bowie’s New York debut at Carnegie Hall, the Beatles at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, to Simon and Garfunkel playing to half a million people in Central Park. This was not an easy film to make and I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by a great team.
