Tarun Lak Instagram – Some early Ember performance tests on #elemental back from 2021. This is roughly what our models looked like in animation- before fx, sim, shading and lighting made it look pretty. These were also done while we were working with riggers to figure out appeal and controls we might need to animate her. We were also exploring what fire movement might be incorporated into performance. Some of partial disappearing effects on the arms(we called it presence), head flame size, fire intensity, breaking of skeletal structure were explored here. The big key component that wasn’t figured out by this point was how much we were going to drift fire character movement, especially after they landed in a pose.
