Aahana Kumra Instagram – In my third post from the series of ‘my first’! This is from my first ever film premier of my life in Tokyo! From a film called “Lipstick Under My Burkha” that changed the course of my life! It took place in Tokyo at the @tokyo_intl_film_festival in 2016. And off we went to represent our film in a country that didn’t speak our language but we all understood the language of cinema and womanhood! Through these photos I get reminded of how we managed to get our outfits organised for the red carpet! Borrowed and stitched ourselves! No help! No grooming! Just simple hustling! It truly was memorable! We looked so professional in front of the Japanese media!! And they loved us!! Just like the way we loved them! 🇯🇵👹🍜🏯🎏🎎🎑🍣🍛🥢🎍🍢🎋 Also P.S : we got to be on the red carpet with the former Prime Minister of Japan, Late Mr. Shinzo Abe and the two maestros Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant!
