I’ve never know a day without music. I didn’t learn music like I learnt dance. But my amma held her tanpura to her tummy and heart ( that’s how it’s held in away that the sound of it becomes one with you) and sang and did her riyaaz when she was carrying me.
Every single day of this life that I have any memory of, I woke up to the sound of music.
It was just another day then, but today I know I’m blessed.
