Adrienne C. Moore Instagram – S U F F E R I N G. As I continue to understand and grow in #mentalhealth and #wellness, this little nugget dropped into my lap today and I thought I’d share. I asked a young woman from Thailand what was one of the most valuable lessons she’d learned/experienced growing up Buddhist. She said, “how to stay calm and not let my emotions bring out my ‘hot potato head.'” “Hot potato head,” I repeated? “Yes, I used to get a hot potato head and get angry a lot,” she replied. She then began to teach me how, in Buddhism, one learns to get out from suffering: 1. ACKNOWLEDGE that you are angry or suffering. 2. DEFINE why you are suffering. 3. SEEK out the solution to end the suffering 4. DO the solution. The DO-ing is the tough part. That’s the toughest hurdle in the process. JUST DO IT. I double dog dare you to try this and apply this to every area of your life where you experience anger, pain or suffering. Adrienne C. Moore Instagram – So proud of the ladies that spoke up. If people only knew how unpopular some became when they tried to speak up and renegotiate their deals. As a series regular, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Studios and big corporations have an interesting way of dividing and conquering casts.
