Ana Matronic Instagram – In 1976 a queen named Terri went to The Pines and was refused service at The Blue Whale because she was in drag. That July 4th, her friend and reigning Homecoming Queen Panzi organized a handful of drag queens and leather dykes to “invade” The Pines and bless the harbor, and a tradition was born. The Invasion of The Pines is some of the most fun I’ve ever had, and yesterday’s turnout was TURNT!
