Chloë Sevigny Instagram – Last summer at an opening for #reggieburrowshodges at @cmcanow I spotted a striking young women wearing a dress cut from an old quilt I couldn’t keep my eyes off. I asked her about it and where it came from and she introduced me to her mother, Sharon, the dress maker. @marigold_in_groton We chatted for a bit and exchanged contacts, a couple weeks later she visited me in Ptown arms full of woven baskets overflowing with all sorts of garments made from quilts, table cloths, American folk pieces and other odd scraps she’d found on her hunts. She told me a bit about her life and career, her family, her children, her children’s children, she had suffered a great loss and was finding peace and more importantly joy in using her hands again.
