My entire body was covered in goosebumps
and it all felt all so surreal. I’m not sure which moment was my favorite… they were all too special.
1. With the Masaai Mara doing the Masaai pose. 💫
2. Dancing and joining in with them as they beautifully performed the welcome dance.
3. When the Chief is not there,
his son wears the lion’s neck to symbolize power and authority. I got to wear it and touch the neck of the lion. Say what again?
4. With the beautiful Masai babies .. one in particular we couldn’t stop blowing kisses to each other. Their smiles were too precious.
5. Sharing genuine laughter with the Masaai tribe.
6. Sharing our Masaai names.
7. The Masaai jumping dance, also known as Adumu – the higher you jump, the more impressive you are as it symbolizes the man’s strength and so he gets more respect, admiration and desire from the women. (I was pretty impressed by how high I jumped 🤭)
8. This is the most precious to me. This was the first moment to encounter the Masaai tribe as they did the welcome dance.. my system got overwhelmed with happy emotions and goosebumps as I truly felt the surrealism of the moment.. and I found myself crying happy emotional tears.. with their singing and movement – I was left speechless. 🥹
