These are cheat sheets of formulas, conditions for when and where to use the equations and logical reasonings. Study summaries are great for when you’re revising; instead of leafing through a thick textbook, you have a summarised guidebook of everything you need to know on a few pieces of paper. 2. Practice! Math is one of those topics where practice will see improvement. But make it deliberate practice. Time yourself, write down everything you do not know. And never ever spend hours pondering over a question. I always tell my students, when you get stuck on a question for too long, it’s time to ask for help; from a friend, a teacher, a tutor. Let someone walk you through the mental block. Do not read the answers and solutions, it’s a passive way of learning and most of the times, the knowledge would not be retained anyways. 3. Write down everything when solving questions. Jot down your entire thinking process of how you have calculated or moved variables back and forth. Be deliberately clear, and over communicate. Clear work will make it easy for your mind to follow the logical process, and quickly pick out any mistakes.
