Ellie Goulding Instagram – My face legit hurt from smiling during my visit to @kneppwilding. I never dreamed you could go on safari 35 miles from London and see an ecosystem buzzing with life. But the Knepp visionaries @isabella.tree, Charlie Burrell, @Ned_byrrell96, @charlie.harpur and the whole team there were brave enough to do something different to the old way (dominating nature and destroying most of it 😳) Instead they have transformed their land, by putting the Earth first. And the results are amaaaazing and so uplifting 😍 You’ve prob heard the term rewilding a bit more recently. It isn’t just a movement, it is a way of experiencing nature exactly how it is supposed to be and FEELING as though hope is here. Nature heals. It brings me so much joy to know that across the world rewilding projects are bringing ecosystems back to life by returning key wildlife species. Once you bring key wild animals back, you supercharge the ecosystem as a carbon sink (ie suck up all the MASSES of carbon we have hanging around) So beneficial for everything and everyone… At Knepp this means storks nesting high up in historic oak trees and beavers who have made an incredible lagoon that stops flooding. These animals are our best engineers and these ecosystems are the way to stave off climate change.
