Erin Cummings Instagram – Six months ago, I was told that “no one is interested in signing a white woman over 35.”
I realized that if all someone saw in me was a “white woman over 35,” they weren’t the right fit for me anyway. Onward and upward!
With help from relationships I’ve made for the past 20 years, I immediately found my new homes in @atlasentertainment and @pakulaking. They saw me with fresh eyes and an open mind to all the possibilities of my potential. They encouraged me to think outside the box for the roles I can play and the jobs even within this industry that I can do.
Remember: a “no” from someone is really just a “not me.” Find your people. And when someone isn’t giving you the love you know you need to be your best self, don’t stick around for more of the same thing. This is true in friendships, romance, career and more.
