So much kindness, enthusiasm and hospitality. In the last few years I’ve been getting more and more excited about the way Korean culture is making such a huge mark globally. Pop music… Food… Football… Fashion… An incredible film industry, with artists and directors who make bold, brave statements – Yim Soon Rye, Kim Ki Duk, Park Chan Wook, Bong Joon Ho – so many masters of this crazy craft we love. Oh yeah, and I got a chance to make my kimchi pilgrimage. I live on the stuff back home, and finally got a chance to try the magical banchan in its homeland. I just wish I could have stayed a little longer. So I’ll spend this flight with NewJeans in my headphones.
