So, it’s that time of year back home in England 💅 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ And I felt like saying…. aside from being a joyous, multi-coloured, multi-layered, multi-slaying celebration of fabulous-ness, Pride is also a really serious time of year. It’s a moment to take stock of what visibility means, and how important true equality is to our society. I love my LGBTQi friends, family, colleagues and fans. I want all of you to celebrate who you are, to feel loved, and know that you are supported. Be PROUD of yourself and your community! It’s a remarkable thing; to overcome the societal barriers that still exist, and just be yourself. That’s why, to me, Pride is a very serious occasion too. Because there are places where being out or visible is not just difficult, but dangerous. And we need that message of positivity and support to reverberate, so people feel less alone. Right now, somebody somewhere is struggling with their identity. And maybe just seeing rainbows in the distance gives them strength to eventually find their safe space, chosen family, and be at peace and out out with their true self. That’s why I will always celebrate Pride. Loud, visibly and unapologetically. Know Your Value! Back to the Mission…
