I lead the cast with @craigstark_ and I produced, executive produced, and was the casting director on this. @theasylumcc picked up the film and distributed it and I am so thrilled— they distributed another film I produced “The 6th Friend” and did a great job with it and they are already doing awesome with this one!! Many people are comparing this to “The Last of Us” which is a fantastic show so it’s a compliment! A little trivia: we filmed this before that show came out but I don’t mind being compared to such an awesome show! Claire (Jamie Bernadette- I Spit on your Grave: Déjà Vu; NCIS: New Orleans; Chicago Fire) is a privileged young suburbanite ill-equipped to survive in this hostile new landscape, until she meets Freddie (Craig Stark-Once Upon a Time in Hollywood; The Hateful Eight; Django Unchained; Honey Boy), a retired soldier who lost his daughter to the virus. As they travel together to reach the perimeter, Freddie begins passing on the skills that will enable Claire to survive, and the uneasy partnership between the two grows into a something more akin to a father/daughter relationship. Before they can reach safety, the two will have to escape brutal gangs, cannibals, cults, and the undead.
