Karyn Parsons Instagram – One of our faves is coming to town! We are elated to welcome actor, author, and director, @karynparsons for a special meet & greet book signing hosted by MahoganyBooks at our National Harbor location. Karyn Parsons is best known as the character “Hilary Banks” on the television show, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” Karyn also created Sweet Blackberry after being inspired by the true tale of a determined enslaved man and the remarkable lengths he traveled to find his freedom. Her new book, Clouds Over California, is another one we’re thrilled about. A moving and heartfelt novel about how a girl’s family and friendships are turned upside down—just as the world is changing in 1970s Los Angeles. To top it all off, Stevie’s older cousin Naomi is coming to live with the family in an attempt to keep her from a “bad” crowd—The Black Panthers. Stevie agrees to keep Naomi’s secrets.
