the plan to get here was years in the making and there were many rupturing experiences along the way I’m still learning to transform, but im grateful for all it took to get me here. im giving myself the summers in taipei i didn’t have access to growing up. the privilege of having the access to not only travel but get to experience life & create home here isn’t lost on me.
i’ve been reflecting on 緣分yuánfèn, the 糹in 緣being the silk thread。 緣分 loosely translates to “fate” in English, but from what I learned, it’s less prescriptive and has more to do with the natural flow of people in and out of your life. we all just undulating in the looom. & out here, the yuanfen is heavyyyyy 🥺
It takes a lot of courage and humility to open one’s community to another so thank you to all who’ve welcomed me in the 886 so far ~ 感謝my 很有fashun的阿姨 squad, elders n 抓周d bbs, friends who know me as kayla or 小包 or butterfly 姐姐的愷樂 lol we be making ~community~ together out here, and anyone who i got to share gentle flows with. And my ♡’s who hold me down with nocturnal heart 2 hearts.
i been told it’s important to put down flags in life as reminders of where we’ve been, so maybe that’s what this is for me… or maybe this is all just an excuse to share cute pics, so there ＼٩(๑`^´๑)۶//／
