There is something uniquely special about the SPIRIT behind the ones we call Mother. Whether that Mother housed us in a womb, nurtured us outside of another, watched over us from a heavenly place, signed a document that declares we belong to each other, or simply said, “I will take care of you”… it is the SPIRIT that I define as Mother. Today I honor the spirit in all hopeful Mothers as we journey onwards. I honor the spirit of the cries and fears that wonder if a day of birthing will ever come to pass. I honor the BRAVE SPIRIT that takes every shot, transfer, and painful exam with eyes shut and palms pressed. 🙏🏽 I honor the spirit that restores after loss or recognizes its limits and says “no more.” I honor the spirit that carries the weight of the wait, and refuses to look at it’s circumstances and believes in its God. I am that spirit. And I walk alongside every Hopeful Mother SPIRIT my heart can hold as I proudly proclaim I see you, I’m with you, and I honor all of you! 💕
